The Yuma branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley partnered with local volunteers and sponsors for its annual Back-to-School Shopping event at JCPenney. With support from Metro by T-Mobile, Dutch Bros, and Raising Cane’s, 15 Club members were given $250 each to shop for essential school items like clothes and shoes.

Students selected for the event were chosen based on both financial need and outstanding behavior, making this a celebration of their hard work and positive contributions. Branch Director Rowena Regalado emphasized that the day was also about recognizing members who support their peers and demonstrate leadership throughout the year.

The event brought joy, confidence, and fresh starts to young people preparing for the new school year—ensuring they return to the classroom with both the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
